Desert Rose

Tariho (Living World) 2008-01-30

I saw a ladybug on a Desert rose when I was traveling around Tunisia.

Desert Roses(Rose Selenite) are a Gypsum type (CaSO4・2H2O) and a Barite type (BaSO4). here is a Gypsum type. Can be found at the place being oasis before. It’s made by the minerals in water when it is drying and crystallized.
